Sale includes two skateboard products sites. One, online since 2001, is a Yahoo store with a PR4. It ranks very well for many skateboarding keywords and gets lots of natural traffic. There are over 10,000 products, including skateboard decks, skateboard shoes, and skateboard wheels. The other skateboarding site is built primarily in ASP.
There is an admin panel where you can upload skateboard products, change some of the pages, delete/update products, etc. This site hasn’t been used for about a year. This site has a PR2. This site has mostly the same products as the Yahoo store (except the skateboard shoes). Includes vanity number. This site alone cost over $12,000 to build! A nice looking, easy to navigate skateboard products site.
The sites are easy to operate. Fulfilling orders is as simple as filling out a spreadsheet and emailing it to the distributor. They ship out the products to the customer. You will not have the hassle of packing & shipping! The only items not drop shipped are the shoes. If you choose to stock a few, they do not take up much room. If you do not want the hassle, it is as simple as deleting the pages from the site.
What You Need:
* As with nearly all distributors, a tax license is needed to buy wholesale.
* The main drop shipper for the site requires dealers to have a commercial location (office, warehouse or store).
You do not need a storefront, just a commercial “address”. I rent an office for $200 a month to fulfill this requirement but still work from home.
* Computer/internet connection
* Business telephone – optional. The site has been run mainly without a phone number on the site with all communication via email. Having a telephone number on the site will help to increase sales, but it is optional. The vanity number will be transferred if you choose to keep it.
* Excel to fill out drop ship order for distributor
* You will need to set up a UPS and/or Fedex account. This is free & takes 5 minutes online.
