Internet Business Guide Review
The Internet has been a silent place. Cutting the silence is a new character. A virtual sales person! A sort of cyborg, or Sborg.

video spokesperson<<< Science Fiction says they would look like that.

What will they look like on the typical web site in 2011?

virtual sales person

The movies say they would look like this. >>

Will they be humanoid? Will they still look like Max Headroom? Max Headroom is the name of a fictional British artificial intelligence, known for his surreal wit and stuttering, distorted, electronically sampled voice.

website video spokesperson Whatever they look like they will be a feature on the web sites you visit. They will be touting the benefits and advantages of products and services. A custom tailored video will effectively deliver the website’s message by making a connection with the website visitor.

The emotional connection made between an enthusiastic virtual salesperson and the website visitor can really transform the success of an Internet website. Satisfied visitors empowered with specific information place orders more frequently.

Sborg! A term I coined to describe personalized speakers and spokespersons for your web site.We will find out later if the term sticks. ;)

What is certain is it will be the next “must have” for website owners to keep pace with the Web 2.0 changes occurring on the Internet.

Sborgs, or whatever you would like to call them, are barely on the radar today. The chart on the right is a search of Google AdWords for common search terms to find a Sborg. The keywords are the most common for this category. The Average CPC (cost per click) is the maximum amount an advertiser is willing to pay Google to send a visitor to their website. Google has a minimum bid requirement of $.05. You’ll note that most of these keyword phrases (called longtails) have the minimum bid. The Ad Comp (Advertiser Competition) is very limited. Meaning not many competitors in this category.

However, note the Average Search volume. Searchers are looking for information about a video spokesperson. Translating the ratio that Google shows for Average Searches in this category it translates into approximately 40,000 searches per month. This is small compared to some search categories such as web hosting with nearly nine million average monthly searches, but it is meaningful. The Vicissitude Ratio is 9.28.

OK, even Sborg gets searches, but not for the concept of a Spokesperson Cyborg or Salesperson Cyborg.

You will find today’s Sborgs are humanoid, but sites such as MakeBeliever.com are hard at work coding a virtual cyberborg that will lip synch what you type.

Watch the video below to see an example of today’s humanoid Sborgs, which for under $1,000 will make a 30 second video you incorporate into your home page.

Whatever you call it, online spokesperson, virtual salesperson, website spokesperson, virtual spokesperson, online video spokesperson, internet spokesperson, call it the next “must have” for web sites.

Sborgs! @ Work
Internet Business Guide Review | Sborg! (cont\’d)
According to Craig Gordon, President of WebPeople, walk and talk videos can be produced for under $1,000. This includes script writing, advice on best production methods, plus selecting and hiring the talent. There are currently 130 virtual spokespersonsworking with WebPeople. The concept of rich media has been around since the days of Prodigy. An online service that began in 1987. While working at Prodigy I quickly learned the value of rich media. Prodigy was the first graphical intereface online service and the most viewed page was the weather map. Delivering a weather map over a 1200 bps modem was magic! Today, with more than 60% of Internet connections at broadband speeds (1.5 Mpbs) web pages can go well beyond text.

The challenge is no longer speed to deliver rich media, but the cost of producing it. Only the top money making web sites can afford big budgets for video production. Many custom video productions for websites cost between $50,000 and $100,000. WebPeople will serve a rapidly growing market, but even at their sub $1,000 pricing they will be over the top of many website budgets. To attract the typical website owner prices will need to drop to sub $250; which creates a wide open market for the work at home entrepreneur. If you have wanted to start an online business you may find a niche in becoming a virtual salesperson.

You will need a good quality webcam, and understand the use of Chroma Key. Chroma key is a technique for mixing two images together, in which a color (or a small color range) from one image is removed (or made transparent), revealing another image behind it.
